The Grantsville area saw the passage of famous men like George Washington and General Braddock, and their travels prompted the construction of the famous National Road. HILL TOP FRUIT MARKET AND CANDYLAND

Hill Top Fruit Market is located in Grantsville at the intersections of Route 40 and 219. It was established in 1958 by Chester and Shirley McFarland as a produce market. Today, Hill Top Fruit Market still provides its customers with the freshest fruits and vegetables. They also offer a large selection of nuts, dried fruits, jams and jellies, honey, buckwheat flour, trail and snack mixes and pure maple syrup. 

Hill Top Fruit Market is a must-stop for the kids in your family! Also known as Candyland USA, Hill Top Fruit Market offers over 900 varieties of candy! Customers can even purchase candy-making supplies. They also offer a large selection of sugar-free items like hard/chewy candies, cookies and snacks. 


GO BOWLING AT THE ALLEY

The Alley is the only ten-pin bowling alley in Deep Creek and the only bowling alley in Garrett County. SPRUCE FOREST ARTISAN VILLAGE

Spruce Forest Artisan Village serves a unique purpose in the Allegheny region. In the time of General Braddock, it was once known as Little Crossings. Today, this venue has become a place for artists to showcase their designs, genres and media specific to the area — artisans work in various media, including bird carving, basket making, hand-loom weaving and hand-thrown pottery. Children of all ages will enjoy watching and learning from these masters of their crafts.
