Why You Should Stay at The Casselman Motel on Your Next Visit to Grantsville, Maryland

Are you looking for lodging conveniently located near Frostburg or Grantsville? Then you should check out The Casselman Motel. The Casselman Motel is the most recent addition to The Casselman and is a 40 room hotel/motel located near our historic inn and restaurant in Grantsville, Maryland. If you haven't stayed with us before, we'd love to have you! Continue reading to learn about the benefits of staying with us.

THE CASSELMAN MOTEL IS BUDGET-FRIENDLY

Our motel is budget-friendly, but affordable prices don't mean a reduction in quality. In keeping with the original historic inn and restaurant, some of the furniture was hand-crafted by local members of the community and the Miller Family (who were former owners of The Casselman Inn), contributing to a relaxed home-like feeling. Our comfortable rooms feature a private bath, TV, coffee maker, microwave, desk, seating and more.

Some of our rooms are freshly remodeled and feature quality, solid wood furniture from nearby artisans. If you'd like one of these rooms, make sure to request one when making your reservation!

THE CASSELMAN MOTEL IS CONVENIENTLY LOCATED OFF I-68

Only located about ½ mile off of I-68 and US 40, our motel is a convenient stop for those traveling long nights and looking to head back out in the early morning. Our motel is also the perfect stop for construction workers coming into the area for road work projects on their way through the area with a wide load.

Since we are located right along the historic Route 40 National Pike, the first major improved highway in the United States, and next to the Casselman River Bridge State Park, there is a lot of history and land to be explored. We welcome you to have a picnic lunch in the grassy area beside the motel and listen to the small creek that flows through our property. Or, if you didn't pack a dinner, that's quite alright; our restaurant is right next door!

DELICIOUS FOOD AND FRESHLY-BAKED GOODS ARE NEARBY

Part of the excitement of visiting a new destination is trying local food. And you cannot make a trip to Grantsville without taking time to enjoy the country cooking at The Casselman Restaurant and sampling the freshly-baked goods from The Casselman Inn Bakery. Both our restaurant and bakery are on-site, which makes it convenient to experience a delicious, home-cooked meal or indulge with some yummy treats — and trust us, you will be glad you did!

The cuisine of The Casselman Inn Restaurant is simple, country food with a variety of favorite recipes reminiscent of the Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish background of the owners. Our restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our menu features many customer favorites like Casselman buckwheat cakes, a colossal cinnamon roll, homestyle meatloaf, baked ham and chicken breast over stuffing and more.

The Casselman Inn Bakery is located downstairs. Our bakers prepare delicious homemade goodies each morning, including our homemade bread, which we still make by hand. Our bakery even has a window where you can watch the bakers make the bread! You will also find delicious jams, jellies and our famous apple butter at our bakery. If you want to learn more about our apple butter, check out our blog, A Casselman Staple: Homemade Apple Butter.

Call us at 301-895-5055 or visit our website for hours of operation. The restaurant and bakery are closed on Sunday.
